2. What this website does

The topics.watch website provides information about the monitoring service and enables interested organisations to make contact and request samples. The monitoring service itself processes data about legal entities only (companies, organisations, institutions). Natural persons are not monitored, analysed or profiled as subjects.

3. Server log files

When you visit this website, your hosting provider automatically collects and stores certain information in server log files, including: IP address (truncated where technically possible), date and time of access, pages or files accessed, volume of data transferred, referring URL, browser type and version, operating system.

Purpose: Technical operation, security and fault analysis.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and stable website.
Retention: Log data is deleted after 14–30 days at the latest.

4. Contact form and email contact

When you use the contact form or send us an email, we process: your name, company name (optional), email address, and message content.

Purposes: Responding to your enquiry; preparing and executing pilot or subscription agreements where applicable; maintaining a record of communications.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, where your enquiry relates to a concrete offer or agreement. Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in managing business contacts, for general enquiries.

Retention: We retain contact data for up to 24 months from last contact, or longer where statutory retention obligations apply.

Subscription request form (pricing page): When you submit a subscription request through the order form on our pricing page, we process your name, work email, company (optional), the plan you selected (product, edition, size, cadence and term), and any vendor notes you choose to provide. Purpose: to prepare and respond to your subscription request and issue an invoice. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request). No payment is processed on this website.

5. Third-party disclosure

Personal data is shared with third parties only: with technical service providers (e.g. hosting, email) acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR; where we are legally required to do so; or where necessary to enforce legal claims. Transfers outside the EU/EEA take place only where an adequate level of data protection exists or appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Form delivery processor: Our contact and subscription-request forms are delivered to us via Web3Forms (operated by Web3Forms in the United States), acting as a processor on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR. When you submit a form, the data you entered is transmitted to Web3Forms — whose infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest — and forwarded to us by email. Web3Forms does not use your data for its own purposes. As this involves a transfer to the United States, it is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. If you prefer not to use the form, you can contact us directly at briefing@topics.watch.

6. No tracking or profiling at MVP

At this stage of the service, we deliberately do not use tracking cookies or analytics tools. Only the technical and communication data described in this notice is processed.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object (Art. 21) to processing based on legitimate interests.

Der eigentliche Monitoring-Dienst verarbeitet ausschließlich Daten über juristische Personen. Natürliche Personen werden nicht als eigenständige Beobachtungsobjekte erfasst oder analysiert.

3. Server-Logfiles

Beim Besuch dieser Website werden durch den Hosting-Provider automatisch Informationen erhoben (IP-Adresse, Datum/Uhrzeit, aufgerufene Seiten, Browser/OS). Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Speicherdauer: 14–30 Tage.

Zweck: Vorbereitung und Beantwortung Ihrer Abo-Anfrage sowie Rechnungsstellung. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (vorvertragliche Maßnahmen auf Ihre Anfrage). Auf dieser Website wird keine Zahlung abgewickelt.

Formular-Dienstleister: Unsere Kontakt- und Abo-Anfrageformulare werden über Web3Forms (betrieben von Web3Forms in den USA) als Auftragsverarbeiter gemäß Art. 28 DSGVO in unserem Auftrag zugestellt.
