1. Scope

This website and the service described on it ("topics.watch") are intended exclusively for commercial users — in particular teams within companies and institutions. By accessing this website or requesting a sample or subscription, you accept the following terms.

2. Service description

topics.watch is an automated monitoring service for legal entities (companies, organisations, institutions). The service analyses publicly available information about named legal entities and compiles regular briefings for defined subscriber teams.

Content is sourced from: news publications, trade media and press articles; corporate websites, press releases and public announcements; publications by regulatory and supervisory authorities; and other publicly accessible sources.

Natural persons are not monitored as subjects. No personal data relating to individuals is systematically collected, analysed or stored as part of the monitoring service.

3. No legal, tax or investment advice

All information provided by topics.watch is for general informational purposes and internal decision support only. It does not constitute legal advice, tax advice, investment advice or recommendations, or any other form of professional advisory service. Decisions made on the basis of topics.watch content are made solely at your own risk.

4. Accuracy and timeliness

topics.watch summarises information from third-party sources and links to original sources wherever possible. Despite careful selection and processing, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or availability of any content. We reserve the right to amend, supplement or remove content without notice, and to suspend or discontinue the service temporarily or permanently.

5. Limitation of liability

Subject to mandatory statutory provisions, we accept liability for material or immaterial damage arising from use or non-use of the information provided only in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part, or injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence involving a breach of a material contractual obligation, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability — in particular for lost profits, indirect damages or consequential damages — is excluded.

6. Intellectual property

Content created by topics.watch (texts, compilations, briefing structure, layouts) is protected by copyright. Use is restricted to the subscriber team and purpose defined in the applicable agreement. Distribution outside your organisation, reproduction, public disclosure or any other exploitation requires prior written consent from the operator. Rights to third-party content (e.g. articles, logos, trademarks) remain with the respective owners; we link to or quote these only.

7. Acceptable use

This website may not be used to distribute unlawful content, circumvent security mechanisms, or interfere with technical operations. We reserve the right to restrict access or modify functionality where necessary.

8. Data protection

For information on how personal data is processed on this website, please refer to our Privacy Notice. The monitoring service itself processes data relating to legal entities only.

9. Amendments

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the registered address of the operator.
